Digital transformation isn’t about mastering complex, out-of-reach technologies. It starts with practical, everyday skills: navigating your smartphone, using AI to boost productivity, spotting online scams, searching for information, accessing digital public services, or simply making the most out of online platforms.
To bring digital literacy closer to the community, since June 2026, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has teamed up with the HCMC Digital Transformation Center to launch the "Digital Literacy Movement" (Bình dân học vụ số) series on the HCMC Front's Fanpage.
Through this partnership, the City’s Digital Transformation Center has created and rolled out 23 digital skills tutorials. These bite-sized, highly visual, and easy-to-understand videos are designed to help you learn fast, remember easily, and apply the skills right away in real life.
The early results are already showing the incredible, positive reach of the "Digital Literacy for Everyone" series. Multiple videos have racked up thousands of views, sparking great engagement, comments, and shares across the community. A standout hit is Episode 05: "AI for Everyone," which has pulled in over 27,000 views! This highlights a massive, growing public interest in leveling up digital skills and applying Artificial Intelligence to everyday learning, work, and life. Most recently, Episode 07: "Using AI as a Thought Partner" scored over 1,200 views within just 5 hours of going live. This proves the strong appeal of highly practical content that taps directly into what people actually need.
Riding on this momentum, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of HCMC will keep dropping new videos in the "Digital Literacy for Everyone" series on their Fanpage. The goal is to spread tech know-how to all union members, association members, and the general public. With short runtimes, visual content, and a focus on real-world needs, each video is a handy mini-lesson. It helps everyone level up their digital skills step-by-step and feel confident using tech in their daily lives.
And it doesn’t stop online. The series is also being actively shared by the Fatherland Front network across local wards and communes, pushing its reach straight into neighborhoods, households, and to every individual. This grassroots approach is turning "Digital Literacy for Everyone" into a widespread movement, inspiring citizens to proactively learn, master technology, and co-create a strong digital citizen community across the city.
This is a clear testament to the successful partnership between the HCMC Digital Transformation Center and the HCMC Fatherland Front in democratizing tech knowledge. Together, they are steadily building a community of skilled digital citizens who know how to leverage technology to learn, work, and improve their overall quality of life.
